Ontario Re-Opening Step 2

Good news campers! We are now in Step 2 of Ontario’s re-opening plan. That results in the following changes for the campground:

  1. We are now able to allow overnight visitors. The limit for indoors is five people. The fee for overnight visitors is $10.00 per adult. It is an extra $10.00 per night if your visitors set up a tent on your site
  2. The playgrounds are open and ready to be used. Public Health social distancing guidelines are still in place
  3. The boat dock is in the water and available to be used by those campers who have rented a slip. Public health social distancing guidelines apply on the dock as well.

Thanks and happy camping!

Ontario Re-Opening – Step 1

Hi Everyone!

As of Friday, June 11 2021, Ontario is entering Step 1 of its re-opening plan,  which is indicated to last for at least 21 days.

This means some updates to the rules in place for camping.  They are as follows:

1.  Seasonal campers will be allowed to have “day” visitors.  Step 1 of Ontario’s plan does not allow for indoor gatherings and as such, visitors will not be allowed to stay overnight in your trailer.

2.  There will be a fee of $5.00 per adult per day for visitors and their contact information will need to be provided to either Gary or Alice for contract tracing purposes.

3.  We will be able to accept overnight campers (transients) who are in their own trailers.  These trailers must be able to have water & sewer hookup as our facilities (washrooms and showers) will remain closed.

4.  Ontario  Step 1 allows for gatherings of up to 10 people total outside.  Please be sure to follow social distancing guidelines

Thank you again for your cooperation!

Happy News Campers!!

The Ontario “Stay at Home” order has been lifted, and as such, we will be able to open the campground – including the beach –  this weekend to seasonal campers with restrictions in place.

The following restrictions remain in place:

1.  Seasonal campers only at this time.

2.  Only seasonal campsites with electricity, water service and facilities for sewage disposal may be used.

3.  Social distancing rules must be followed. (Maintaining a distance of 2 meters apart)

4.  No indoor gatherings.

5.  Outdoor gatherings subject to provincial guidelines – currently limited to 5 persons total.

6.   All recreational facilities in the campground and all other shared facilities in the campground will be closed.  This includes the store, playgrounds, basketball courts, washrooms and showers

7.  The beach will be opened,  provided our campers follow social distancing rules.

The above restrictions will be enforced.

Failure to follow them will have an impact,  not only yourself,  but will also impact the ability of others to enjoy the summer as well as on us, as the owners of the campground.

We look forward to further restrictions being lifted when we are able to, in accordance with provincial and regional health authority guidelines.

We can’t wait to see you all!

Camping Season Summer 2021 – 14 May 2021 update

Hello Cedar Grove seasonal campers,

We will still open on May 20th with all the lockdown restrictions in place despite the provincial lockdown extension to June 2nd. The rules set out by the Ontario government allow for daytime use of the park for campers to check on their trailer and set up for the season. As well, if you are isolating, you can occupy and remain on your site for two full weeks.

Until further notice the following restrictions apply:

  • All facilities (including bathrooms) will remain closed.
  • Mask wearing and social distancing must be practiced.
  • One household per site; and,
  • No social gatherings allowed.

We’re expecting a news release in the coming days from the Renfrew County Health Unit which should further clarify what we can and cannot do. We will keep you posted on any new government changes.

Stay safe everyone,

Gary and Alice

Camping Season Summer 2021 – COVID19 Update

Hello Cedar Grove seasonal campers

We have permission from the Ontario government and Renfrew county district health department to open the park with very strict restrictions.

Our open day will be on Thursday May 20th, with the hope of the lockdown orders being lifted.

We are allowed to have seasonal campers for daytime use of their sites. The other option is to use your trailer as an isolation place for two weeks, if you chose to isolate here you must not leave the property for the full two weeks. We will change the rules when the government gives us a new set to follow.

Sorry for the inconvenience. Stay safe and we hope to see you all soon.

Feel free to give us a call if you have questions

Covid-19 Updates

Great news campers!
Renfrew County Health Unit has authorized the use of the beach.  Social distancing rules still apply and we are figuring out a way to manage compliance.  Stay tuned for more info.

Dear Campers,
We’re excited to say that we’re open as of June 4th.  That said, there are rules in place to ensure everybody’s safety and compliance with the law so please read the Camp Rules linked on the main page.
Very important point are the restrictions related to visitors.  Only family dwellings of those who have a contract can come to the camp ground.  Other than that, no other visitors are allowed.  Please read the rules carefully.  If you need clarification, please reach out.
Thank you for your patience and looking forward to seeing you.
Stay safe, wash hands often,
Gary & Alice
